I really want to like these towels. I got them in off-white and planned to get other colors if they worked out. I love the absorbency of Turkish towels and was hoping these waffle weave towels would be similar. They're a beautiful fabric, very stretchy and soft. It's just that they don't drink up the water. The moisture just beads up on the dishes. I was hoping that the problem was that they were coated with sizing, so I washed them several times but they still don't absorb. I now use them as hand towels and they're okay for that. They also shrink.These are some great kitchen towels. My only complaint is that after washing, the towel does distort and get smaller in the center. You can easily pull it a little to reshape it, but it is slightly annoying. Otherwise, I really enjoy these towels.When I washed them as indicated, they sharked and lost their shape.I realize these aren't particularly expensive, but I expected them to be serviceable. Image shows the condition after one wash. Totally pulled out of shape and wrinkled. Too ugly to hang in kitchen unless ironed and possibly not even then. I am certainly NOT in the habit of ironing kitchen towels. When I began to submit a return, $4.99 was deducted for shipping. There were no shipping charges, so that amount was removed from the price. I would then have to pay shipping to return them! That would leave me with less than a $10.00 refund. Not worth time and effort to return.Lovely towels! Soft and absorbent!
