This is a gorgeous rug that lays down beautifully. Easy to really clean if something spills. I vacuum on the most gentle suction power. You have to be careful though moving furniture around as it may catch onto something and snag. There will be a slight smell of leather in the air. I recommend buying but I think will last longer in a house with no pets or children as I think the rug is little too delicate for that type of use and traffic.Excellent product.
