The trick is to either boil them,or wash them on a steam cycle the first time. I don't have hot water to my washing machine, so I boil my rags. It takes off any slickness. I never use fabric softener when I wash them either. After boiling them, I wash them and they're nice and dry and absorbent. These rags are absolutely amazing. I got 75 rags in my box. I think that is an excellent deal. I highly recommend these rags.
